September comes with all it's fashion goodness and goes leaving me wanting a total overhaul on my wardrobe. So come October, I have a major itch to shop and it's almost uncontrollable. I could get myself in real trouble but instead I satisfy my urges by taking a "thriftier" approach. I recently visited the local Value Village and scored big! 

The above photo is one of Fall 2011 trends seen perfectly executed by Christopher Kanes FW2011 collection. The granny afghan pattern isn't normally something I would be drawn to as a fashion piece because it's usually seen in stores with such loud colors but I found this sweater with it's muted more earthy tones and immediately I hopped aboard the granny afghan trend train.

Kit Willow's spring/summer 2012 collection hits home for me. Not only the fact that I miss working for the designer, but it's her inspiration for this particular collection I miss most of all.

The scenic view from a photo her mother took so many years ago is the same view I had from my old apartment that I now miss so much. 

I was lucky enough to work for Kit Willow and hear from the horses mouth how deep her thought processes go when creating such strong cohesive designs. 

It was probably what first gave me such an understanding of the fashion Designing art form.

She is truly a master at what she does.

And if I could recommend any fashion piece to buy for any wardrobe it would be a Willow jacket. 

Get on it you will not be disappointed!

'Jesus Walks' may have been the song that put Kanye West on the music maps, but what walked down the catwalk in Kanye's debut fashion collection in Paris this week will not be putting him on the fashion maps anytime soon.

It was just a bad mishmash of every good idea already been done and perfected by the professionals with a lot of leather and fur thrown on top.

Oh Kanye stick to being a super fashion fan and stay off the runway.
