Queen of Halloween

This year...

Heidi Klum blows me away with her outrageous Halloween costumes.
The Hollywood scene is chocked full of slutty nurses and mini skirts with animal ears.
So, it's great to see someone in that scene (known for her beauty) completely embrace the true nature of this amazing holiday.
I think every halloween costume should bring some sort of uneasiness and amazement into it. The scarier the better!
BOO!

Happy Halloween!

Cheeky Devil

A visual ode to Mr. Terry  Richardson.
#1 cheeky devil.

Check out Terry Richardson's Diary Here

P.S. the photo under James Franco is also James Franco from last years cover of Candy shot by TR.
I absolutely love it!

MJ vs. Autumn

I love that Marc Jacobs does not limit his visual impact to just outstanding windows but brings the spooky theme throughout his stores with ghoulish props and fixtures too.
As a visual merchandiser I can appreciate the fact that Autumn doesn't always need to be represented with mannequins in light jackets surrounded by falling leaves which are constantly displayed in windows from storefront to storefront.

Unsure

Shirts as skirts is a look that I'm not sure I will partake in, but I can appreciate how cost effective and innovative it is. Why buy a new skirt when you have two perfectly good shirts already in your closet.
That last photo is my favourite and I probably would consider this particular look. Or maybe just work in the burgandy and hot pink combo in a regular skirt and shirt look.

VV

September comes with all it's fashion goodness and goes leaving me wanting a total overhaul on my wardrobe. So come October, I have a major itch to shop and it's almost uncontrollable. I could get myself in real trouble but instead I satisfy my urges by taking a "thriftier" approach. I recently visited the local Value Village and scored big!
The above photo is one of Fall 2011 trends seen perfectly executed by Christopher Kanes FW2011 collection. The granny afghan pattern isn't normally something I would be drawn to as a fashion piece because it's usually seen in stores with such loud colors but I found this sweater with it's muted more earthy tones and immediately I hopped aboard the granny afghan trend train.

above photo, wearing: Thrifted sweater and bracelet, vintage moschino skirt, Zara Sunnies, RM William boots, Jil Sander bag.

what's next?

It's not just for clothing and accessaries anymore.
